Using a buildpack branch
You can specify the branch in a buildpack repository for your application deployment by specifying the buildpack url in the following format:
cf push -b https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-ruby.git#default_193
This will use the heroku-buildpack-ruby branch called "default_193" from the heroku github repositories.
cf push -b <git https url>#<branch name>
This format can also be used when specifying buildpacks in deployment manifest files.
For more information on using buildpacks, please refer to our article about buildpacks.
